ELEMENTARY
Requests are considered throughout the year.
MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL
In-district transfer requests submitted during the school year, must be submitted under the following timelines to be considered. {Note: Because Vanguard Academy is a project-based instructional school with mastery-based grading, registration for this school is for one full academic year as stated on the registration paperwork.}
Quarter 1: Transfer requests will be considered for quarter 1 if submitted prior to the 10th day after the start of school.
Quarter 2: Only transfer requests to attend Digital Learning Center will be considered for the start of quarter 2 if submitted after the 10th day of the start of school until 10 days before the start of quarter 2.
Semester 2/Quarter 3: Transfer requests will be considered for semester 2/quarter 3 if submitted 10 days before the start of quarter 2 until 10 days before the start of semester 2/quarter 3.
No in-district transfer requests will be considered after the start of semester 2/quarter 3. High School Open Enrollment will take place in March. Open Enrollment is the process in which incoming and current high school students and their families have the opportunity to choose or change which high school they want to attend. Participating in Open Enrollment is the best way to ensure students are able to attend their high school of choice and succeed in an environment that suits them.
Please complete the In-District Transfer Request Form thoroughly and be aware of the following:
Transportation to and from school becomes the parent’s responsibility if a request is granted.
While child care hardships may be considered, there is no guarantee that a transfer request will be honored solely based on child care. Also, documentation from the child care provided may be requested.
Providing false information will be grounds for denial of the application
