Communications & Public Affairs

Connecting Our Schools, Our Families, and Our Community

The Communications Department for Moses Lake School District exists to ensure our students, staff, families, and community are informed, heard, and connected.

Clear, timely, and transparent communication is essential to building trust and supporting student success. Our role is to share accurate information, tell the story of our schools, and create meaningful opportunities for dialogue between the district and the community we serve.

Facebook and social media are never our first places to communicate important information or emergencies to parents.

Important and factual information is delivered directly to parents via the ParentSquare app, text, email, and phone. It is important for families to keep contact information up-to-date in Skyward Family Access and ParentSquare. Depending on the situation, the district will notify the community regarding information, weather-related events or closures, and emergency information via one or more of its communication channels.
