High School In-District Transfers: Priority Window Now Open (thru March 31)

Moses Lake School District families with incoming high school students who did not make a selection during the enrollment process in February and currently enrolled high school students can take advantage of the priority window for in-district transfer requests for the 2026–27 school year should they wish to change to a different high school within the district.
This window (opened until March 31, 2026) provides the best opportunity for students to request a different high school within MLSD.

Why This Window Matters

Priority is given to requests submitted through March 31, 2026
Decisions will be provided no later than April 30, 2026
This is the best opportunity for placement at your preferred high school

Families are strongly encouraged to submit requests during this window to maximize placement opportunities.

After March 31

April 1–30: Requests will continue to be considered, with decisions made as quickly as possible
May 1 through the start of the school year:
- Requests processed after new student registration
- Final decisions made no later than the 11th day after school starts

This process is for in-district transfers only (requesting a different high school within MLSD)
Placement is not guaranteed and depends on space and program availability
Vanguard Academy requires a full-year commitment due to its project-based, mastery-based model
