MOSES LAKE, WA — The Moses Lake School District proudly announces that the Digital Learning Center (DLC) has been named a 2024–2025 Imagine Learning Beacon School, a prestigious recognition awarded to schools that demonstrate exceptional use of Imagine Learning programs to enhance student learning and achieve meaningful academic outcomes.

The Beacon School Award is presented to schools that go above and beyond in their implementation of Imagine Learning tools—standing out through consistent usage, innovative instructional practices, and strong evidence of impact. DLC was nominated by Imagine Learning representatives for its enthusiastic and effective use of these programs by both staff and students.

Launched by the Moses Lake School District in 2021, the Digital Learning Center was created to meet the diverse needs of all individuals in a learner-centered environment. DLC offers students a flexible, technology-driven educational experience that blends online and in-person instruction. The program emphasizes digital literacy, critical thinking, and personalized learning plans—helping students progress at their own pace and preparing them for success in a rapidly evolving digital world.

This week, Imagine Learning representatives visited the DLC to personally present a Beacon Award banner to the dedicated team who have contributed to the school’s success. 

“This award is amazing because it really is a recognition of all our students and staff efforts over the course of the last 4 years,” said DLC Director Brandon Byers. “We are excited about the upcoming years and the potential for our future growth and how our school can provide another option for our community's students.” 

The recognition not only celebrates DLC’s technological and instructional excellence, but also the collaborative spirit of administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families working together to create meaningful learning experiences.
