MLHS ASB Students Lead Campus Beautification Effort
MOSES LAKE, Wash., April 16, 2025 — Student leaders at Moses Lake High School took time out of their day to give back to their campus and community through a hands-on beautification project along the school’s parking lot fence line.
On Tuesday, members of the school’s ASB leadership class spent part of their class period cleaning up the chain link fence area that borders the high school’s main parking lot. Armed with gloves, garbage bags, and plenty of school spirit, students worked together to remove debris, tidy up overgrown areas, and enhance the visual appeal of the campus.
“School beautification is a community effort.” said MLHS Principal Sheila Kries.
The initiative reflects the larger goals of the Associated Student Body leadership program, which emphasizes service, citizenship, and cultivating a sense of pride in the school community. By taking an active role in campus upkeep, students also model the kind of stewardship and responsibility that school officials hope to see echoed throughout the student body.
Photos from the cleanup effort were shared by school staff, showing students hard at work along the fence line. The images offer a simple yet powerful reminder that student-driven initiatives can have a lasting impact on both school culture and the environment.
Moses Lake School District applauds these students for their dedication to service and their efforts to make MLHS a cleaner, more welcoming place for all.
