Paraeducator Assessment

Paraeducator Assessment

In order to be eligible for hire as a paraeducator (substitute or regular employee) for the Moses Lake School District (MLSD), you must meet the following requirements:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Complete a minimum of 72 college quarter credits from a nationally accredited institution OR pass the Paraeducator assessment.

The Paraeducator Assessment is facilitated through The Master Teacher eLearning Platform, which is designed to be user-friendly on both tablets and mobile devices. To initiate the process, individuals are required to submit a one-time fee of $50 at the Learning Service Center. Upon payment, a confirmation email will be sent by The Master Teacher eLearning Platform, guiding the test taker through the account creation process.

After successfully logging in, test takers gain access to a variety of training modules by navigating to their "My Dashboard" and selecting the content library. Within the library, they can filter courses to display the 13 relevant courses associated with Title I Highly Qualified criteria. Each course is accompanied by an estimated completion time.

We strongly advise test takers to engage in the recommended courses, as thorough preparation is vital for success. Once adequately prepared, a mutually agreed-upon time and date will be scheduled for the administration of the assessments.

If you would like to take the Paraeducator Assessment, please complete this FORM and our team will reach out to schedule your assessment.
