The Citizens’ Financial Oversight Committee serves as a bridge between the district and the community, providing an additional layer of transparency, accountability, and public engagement in the district’s financial practices.
The committee is made up of community members and district representatives who review financial information, ask questions, and help ensure that public funds are managed responsibly and aligned to support student learning, safety, well-being, and long-term district stability.
The Financial Oversight Committee supports the district by:
- Reviewing budget development and financial reports
- Monitoring expenditures and overall financial health
- Providing community perspective and feedback
- Promoting transparency and understanding of district finances
- Supporting accountability in the use of taxpayer dollars
This committee does not make financial decisions but plays an important advisory role in strengthening public trust and understanding.
