From Play to Profiency: K-2

In Moses Lake School District, learning in the early years starts with curiosity and joy. Kindergarteners explore numbers, letters, and sounds through play, discovering how learning connects to the world around them. In first grade, students build on that foundation, becoming more confident readers and problem solvers. By second grade, children are fluent in the essential skills that prepare them for continued success. At every step, MLSD supports the whole child—helping students grow through relationships, exploration, and a love of learning.
