Moses Lake Digital Learning Center Earns National Beacon School Award for Second Consecutive Year

The Moses Lake School District is proud to announce that the Digital Learning Center has once again been recognized with the prestigious Imagine Learning Beacon School Award for the 2025–2026 school year.
Presented by Imagine Learning’s Jerry Jones during a ceremony on May 7, 2026, the Beacon School Award is a national recognition honoring schools that demonstrate exceptional, innovative, and impactful use of digital learning tools to support student success.
This year, only seven schools in Washington state received the distinction, with recipients representing approximately just 2% of schools nationally using the Imagine Learning/Edgenuity platform.
The award recognizes schools that go above and beyond in implementing personalized digital instruction, fostering student engagement, and creating meaningful learning opportunities through blended and online learning environments.
“This recognition reflects the incredible work happening every day at our Digital Learning Center,” said Brandon Byers, director of Digital Learning Center. “Our staff continues to create innovative, student-centered learning experiences while fostering relationships that support our students to stay connected, engaged, and successful. It is an honor to be recognized again among the top programs in Washington, and we’re excited to continue our work to provide our students and families another option within our district.”
Schools receiving the Beacon School Award are nominated by Imagine Learning representatives and selected based on exceptional implementation practices, consistent program usage, student engagement, and demonstrated impact on student outcomes.
The award highlights schools successfully using digital learning platforms to:
- Personalize instruction for students
- Increase student engagement and ownership of learning
- Support digital literacy and academic growth
- Create flexible learning opportunities
- Demonstrate strong evidence of student impact
The recognition reinforces the important role the Digital Learning Center plays in expanding learning opportunities for students with varying educational needs, schedules, and pathways toward graduation. It also aligns with the Moses Lake School District’s commitment to its strategic pillar of Teaching & Learning by ensuring students have access to engaging, adaptable, and student-focused learning environments.
