Safety and Smiles at Garden Heights Jog-a-Thon

Garden Heights Elementary was full of energy and excitement on Friday, October 24, as students, staff, families, and local first responders came together for the school’s annual Jog-a-Thon.
This year’s event highlighted more than just physical activity—it showcased the strong partnership between schools and the community in keeping students safe. Officers from the Moses Lake Police Department, including School Resource Officers (SROs), were on site throughout the event to ensure a fun and secure environment.
Students raced around the field with smiles, cheered on by teachers, parents, and officers alike. The SROs joined in the fun, high-fiving students and building the kind of positive relationships that make a lasting impact.
The Jog-a-Thon served as a reminder that student safety isn’t just about rules or routines—it’s about relationships, trust, and teamwork. And on this Friday afternoon, Garden Heights showed what that looks like in action.
