Happy Friday!  Below you will find a few topics of interest from this week.

Substitute Bus Drivers Needed!
Moses Lake School District is in need of substitute bus drivers.  If you are interested in becoming a sub bus driver, please go to the MLSD website and complete an application to be a sub bus driver.  THIS LINK will take you directly to the webpage with the substitute bus driver application.

Financial Transparency
Moving forward, Moses Lake School District will emphasize transparency in all we do, especially with finances.  One way in which we will provide transparency to the community is by updating the Financial Reporting page of our website.  If you click on the link to explore this page now, you will see that the page is not fully updated, but I wanted everyone to have the link and to know we are actively working to get information published.  One area that has been updated recently is accounts payable.  Weekly accounts payable information will be posted to the website for everyone to see going forward.  Please explore this page if you are interested, and watch it evolve over the next several weeks as more information is added.

THIS MESSAGE was sent to all staff in Moses Lake School District earlier today.  It gives an explanation of the accounting errors that occurred in our school district.  A similar message will be shared with the community in the coming days, along with four opportunities for in-person conversations about our school district's finances.

Public Comment at Board Meetings
Anyone can sign up to make public comment at meetings of the Moses Lake School Board of Directors by signing up before 12:00 PM on the day of any regularly scheduled Board meeting.  HERE is the webpage where you can find the sign-up form, which allows you to make comment either in person or in writing to the Board.  A schedule of all regular Board meetings can be found HERE.
